Who said the Grind couldn’t be fun?

What started as a shared vision between Nick Barbian and Grind City Brewing Company founder, Hopper Seely, to bring live entertainment back to Uptown Memphis takes shape this summer in the form of a blues, brews, and bluegrass event at the Uptown brewery location.

Along with partner Mammoth Live, the two-day festival is a precursor of things to come and represents the first phase of a broader plan to bring regular live music to Uptown Memphis.

Partners in the Grind

Nick Barbian of Barbian Management: Wisconsin native Nick Barbian is an independent promoter and event producer. A graduate of St. Norbert College (De Pere, Wisconsin) and University of Westminster (London, UK), he has 18 years of experience promoting concerts, touring, managing emerging artists, producing festivals, and working with some of the most recognizable names in the industry.

In 2019, Nick moved to Memphis from Austin after taking a position with Live Nation Entertainment. Having fallen in love with the city of Memphis, Nick decided to stay and focus his efforts on expanding the live music scene in his newly adopted hometown.

In addition to his work in live entertainment, Nick is opening Big River Market, a corner grocery store located in the South Main District, in the summer of 2022. He anxiously awaits a Memphis Grizzlies vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Finals in 2023.
